The LINK Newsletter - February 2021Check out this month's edition of The LINK newsletter around raising awareness and increasing understanding of dyslexia and what it means for our students and meet our SCRED assistive technology committee.

Wendy Stuttgen, the elementary literacy services coordinator, shares information on the children’s book she and her daughter co-authored called “Daisy Describes Dyslexia & How She Learns to Read”. The book is intended to serve as a way to communicate with children about dyslexia and help children understand what it means for them and/or someone they know affected by dyslexia. She also shares other books from the Beautifully Unique Children’s Book Series. All of these books are available for checkout through the SCRED Lending Library.

We are also spotlighting the SCRED Assistive Technology (AT) Committee members, their purpose, goals, and the support they can provide. If you need help with anything pertaining to Assistive Technology (student problem solving, accessing AT at SCRED, AT training for staff, etc.), please submit a request to the SCRED HelpDesk Portal or contact any of the AT committee members.
